The T.R.A.I. or Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued "The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010" on 1st December 2010. The details of the regulation are available on website www.nccptrai.gov.in and www.trai.gov.in . As per the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010, all existing and new telemarketers have to register with T.R.A.I. or Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. The telemarketer registration process is on line through NCP web portal www.nccptrai.gov.in . The telemarketer has to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000/- and Customer Education fee of Rs. 9000/-. No part payment is permitted. This payment can be made either online or through various branches of the Corporation bank. Registration number will be given instantaneously on successful submission of application and receipt of payment. After registration, all telemarketers have to enter into an agreement with Access Providers for obtaining telecom resources. No telecom resources shall be provided to telemarketers by any access provider unless telemarketer is registered with T.R.A.I. or Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Telemarketers registration would be valid for 3 Years unless revoked earlier. List of Telemarketers will be available on website www.nccptrai.gov.in . The Telemarketer registration starts from 15/01/2011. The portal www.nccptrai.gov.in is now available for registration of Telemarketers.
